TRIALS PHASE
SPEED
The Speed Trials honor the enduring fighter pilot ethos, “Speed is life.” This event celebrates the relentless pursuit of speed.
ACCURACY
The Accuracy Trials celebrate the artistry of aerial marksmanship, showcasing the skill and finesse required to master a cannon in the sky.
PRECISION
The Precision Trials honor the legacy of dive bombing, a technique woven into the fabric of aerial warfare. This event pays tribute to the generations of pilots who mastered the art of visually lining up their targets and delivering ordnance with pinpoint accuracy.
DOGFIGHT PHASE
The Dogfight Phase unites Perch and High-Aspect Basic Fighter Maneuvering. From disciplined perch starts that reward geometry, patience, and energy control to high-aspect merges where everything collapses into a split-second duel. These are the foundations of fighter training and the apex of one-on-one air combat.
This event tests the essentials: angles, airspeed, weapons employment, and survival instinct. It honors the generations who met head-on at the merge, pilot versus pilot, where skill and judgment decide who gains the shot and who lives to fight another turn.
LEAGUE COMPETITION STRUCTURE
The SFL Season is a year-long journey that unites virtual fighter pilots through a structured series of online tournaments, regional qualifiers, and the ultimate World Championship. Each phase builds intensity and prestige, showcasing the evolution of skill, teamwork, and competitive spirit across the global air combat community.
ONLINE TOURNAMENT SERIES
The SFL hosted Online Tournament Series (OTS) unites the international flight-sim community under a single standard of professional-grade competition. Virtual fighter pilots test their skill, precision, and tactical mastery in structured online air combat events using their personal flight simulators. Scoring serves as the entry point to the live Regional Qualifiers.
REGIONAL QUALIFER
The SFL Regional Qualifiers bring the top online competitors together for live, in-person events hosted in select cities around the world. Pilots face off in high stakes matches before live audiences, showcasing precision flying, tactical awareness, and nerves of steel under real-time pressure. These qualifiers determine who advances to the prestigious SkyMasters Cup World Championship.
SKYMASTERS CUP
The SFL SkyMasters Cup is the ultimate test of virtual air combat excellence, where the best pilots from around the globe converge to compete for the title of World Champion. Hosted in Las Vegas, this elite event delivers a cinematic blend of precision flying, cutting-edge simulation, and live entertainment.
